The Cleveland Browns: Lambs of the AFC North

The Browns fan hood is a lot like many popular religions throughout the world. You're told of events and people in the past that are myth and legend (like Hall of Fame RB Jim Brown) and endure hardship with a promise that they will return in some form to show you the Promised Land. I'll grant, the analogy isn't exactly to scale. The appearance of a Messiah or event of mythical significance can span thousands of years. When put into perspective, the fact that the Browns haven't been competitively relevant since 5 years ago in the 2007 season doesn't seem so long ago now. Come to think of it, 40 years in the desert is a much greater hardship than watching a season of mediocre football in Browns Stadium. Although some may disagree considering one game hosting the Seahawks in 2011 where the final score was 6-3. Sure, the Browns added one to the 'W' column, but can anyone be them player, coach, or fan really be called a "winner"? Even Charlie Sheen would have trouble walking out of there thinking he was "winning".
